Tadich Grill

No blog yesterday. Flew home from LA. Enjoyed my time with Peg and Bill. They were wonderful hosts. Walked around the neighborhood with Peg before I left. Peg seems at home and happy there. They know their neighbors. Good community.

Easy flight home from Burbank to SF on Southwest. Watched Shaft  starring Samuel L. Jackson. He might be my favorite actor.

We had Nadav and Yael over for dinner.

Drank lots of wine and I was too tired to write the blog.

This morning, Nadav and I took a 45 mile bike ride to Fairfax and back. I had not been out on my road bike since October. Great to get out there. I felt a little bit rusty and out of shape at first. I tore it up on the way back home. I felt a bit bad for Nadav. I think I wore him out.

I tried out my new whistle on the Golden Gate Bridge. It was so loud. When I blew it, the pedestrians in my way scattered like rats. So safe. So satisfying :)

Beth went to a Party for the Zen Hospice volunteers. I met my mom, brother Mike and niece Alana for dinner at Tadich. It was crowded and I worried we would have to wait for a table. They saw Phil's walker and seated us immediately. Kudos. Great dinner as usual. Happy times with the family.

At dinner I got a text from a lawyer friend offering me some legal work, doing Subsequent Injuries Fund cases. I just might do it. Will talk to them tomorrow. It feels good to be wanted. I had a fantasy/wish that after I retired, people would call me asking me to do work for them.

Alana told us that she went to a place in the Mission with lots of food trucks for lunch today. She saw a cute dog and asked permission to pet it. The owner's said ok and she petted the dog, soon to realize that it was Rocco with Klay Thompson and his girlfriend.

Walking home from Tadich. I passed by four happy homeless folks sharing a joint by their tent. They were having a little party on a cold night. It was heartwarming.

Winter Hibernation

I'm really tired. Please wake me in April. Good night. Winter hibernation starts now.
