Christmas eve. I did an early spin class. Still a ghost town at the new gym. Meyer and I had a wonderful brunch at Yank Sing, my favorite dim sum restaurant. Meyer has been coming to this restaurant his whole life.
The three of us lazed around the afternoon, napping and reading books. Beth listened to Christmas carols. While she/we listened, I realized that I have a lot of feelings about Christmas, having grown up Jewish. I will share my thoughts in a few days, after the holidays.
We drove to Gail (Beth's sister) and Gamiel's house for an early dinner. What a feast. Clam chowder, fresh crab, salad and See's Candy for dessert. Lots of games after dinner, Jenga and a jigsaw puzzle. More Christmas carols.
Gail and Gamiel are excellent and generous hosts. So gracious. Great food. We always have a good time at their house.
