A Profound Day (not!)

Nothing profound today. I'll keep it short. Somehow Beth and I managed to sleep in til 10:45 am. Woke up early and got back to sleep. Latest I've slept since I can remember.

Kept up my gym rat performance with one more spin class. I did well in a competitive class. I'm keeping up with the youngsters. Getting up early for another class tomorrow morning.

I checked on the boat. Not much water in the bilge. A good sign. I finally got hold of the repairman. He is coming out to fix it next week. I can't wait to get back out on the water.

I went over to Berkeley to visit my mom. Good visit. But, horrible traffic horrible both ways. The travel was longer than the visit. I almost turned back halfway.

Beth got home on the late side after her volunteer Zen Hospice gig at Laguna Honda. I prepared a nice vegan meal for us. We had a romantic dinner with a bottle of Chardonnay.

We watched the series finales of Mrs. Fletcher and Silicon Valley. I'll miss both shows.

Big party day tomorrow. My law firm's holiday lunch at Chez Panisse followed by the California Applicant Attorneys East Bay Chapter Holiday party. It'll be nice to see all the folks from my work community. I don't miss work; I miss the camaraderie I experienced at the "board" (our administrative court).

Off to LA early Friday to see Peg and Bill.

Winter Hibernation

I'm really tired. Please wake me in April. Good night. Winter hibernation starts now.
