I woke up today thinking that today is going to be a good day. Beth and I had a difficult day yesterday (my fault). We got through it and woke up "Happy Together". We listened to the old Turtles song from the 1960s.
People have been asking me how it feels to be retired. It is good. However, it is hard being retired in the winter. There is less to do. Harder to get out on the boat or on my bike. I am Turning in to a gym rat. Going to spin class daily.
My weight is way down. I was 170# in the gym today. My stomach is down to a 12 pack
I saw this on the sidewalk today downtown. Amusing.
I went to my boat today to prep for a crab trip tomorrow. Water overflowing from the bilge. Pump not working. Frustrating. No crab for Mark and Helen's party.
I got an interesting email yesterday:
Comments from Ahmed on my old blog from September 2. Weird. In a foreign language. I thought about trying to get it translated. Then I noticed that it was a link. What the fuck could happen if I just clicked on it?
It was just an ad.
Uh oh, Ahmed commented again yesterday. Russion troll? Bot? Virus? Nope, I just ran a scan. Annoying.
We had our friends Mayumi and Erika over for dinner to talk about the Camino. I am kicking myself because I forgot to take a picture of them. They did the Camino a few years ago. Mayumi put together a whole slideshow presentation of the Camino, beginning to end. They answered all our questions and got Beth interested again. After dinner, we walked them to the ferry back to Alameda where they live on a houseboat.
They are our most adventurous friends. In January they leave for a five for six month biking adventure in Africa. In September, they are doing the Camino AGAIN! Really good to see them.
Walking back home, the shadowy moon was next to the Salesforce Tower, which had a video of women dancing.
Good night moon. Good night blog.
