Came home and headed to the boat. Another solo crabbing adventure outside the Golden Gate. Prepped and baited the pots at the boat. Left Treasure Isle Marina. Pretty calm water there, inside the bay.
Headed out under the Golden Gate Bridge. Then South to Baker Beach. Four foot swell coming at me as I passed the bridge. No breaking waves. Kind of scary. No fog. That was an improvement. There were some other boats around which reassured me. Found my usual spot on my GPS and dropped two pots.
Decided to do a little Halibut fishing while I soaked the pots. I had some time constraints because I needed to be in Palo Alto at 3 pm to take a doctor deposition for Jeff, in one of my old cases. I went to my favorite fishing spot near Berkeley. You can see the Golden Gate in the distance.
We are having Thomas and his sister's family from Germany over to Inverness tomorrow for lunch. I hoped to catch crab for them.
Went to Palo Alto. Took the doctor's deposition. Realized why I retired.
Boiled the crab in Old Bay spice mix. The whole house smells delicious.
