I had another great competitive spin class this morning where I crushed the youngsters.
Fish tacos for lunch with Ferg at the Ferry Building. There was a place selling Vegan Loco Moco. That is an oxymoron. Loco Moco is a Hawaiian dish consisting of a hamburger patty topped with a fried egg, served over rice, smothered in gravy. The vegan version might be the most unhealthy healthy meal you could have.
This afternoon, Beth and I walked downtown to return a robe to Macy's. I saw people on the sidewalk shooting up near Market and Fourth Street. Sad. On Market Street I saw a man FaceTimeing using sign language. Unique.
Two blocks from our condo, on top of a stone monument, we saw a golden eagle or peregrine falcon eating its prey, likely a pigeon. It’s a bird eat bird world, right there amidst the skyscrapers.
We took muni to the surprise restaurant for dinner. On muni everyone sat staring at their phone. It is amusing to look up and see all the people in their own little world.
I took Beth to "Dear Inga", a hip Hungarian restaurant near 18th and Guerrero, in what I think of as San Francisco's gourmet gulch. Near Delfina, Bi-Rite and Tartine, to name a few.
She loved it. I think she has a new favorite restaurant. The wines were interesting, different and good. Eastern European. So comes to an end our celebration of our 32d Wedding Anniversary.
