Back in SF with Nothing to do

So little happened today. I'll keep it short or at least try.

Headed over to see my mom after lunch. She seems to be doing well. Mike was there. His back is healing up. I should have taken a picture of all the dogs there. Four. Next time.

Beth knitting with wee (camera shy) Mr. Brown on her lap.

I communicated with Thomas all day. He had to reschedule his trip with daughter Kate because she is sick. He is coming back to California early. He will still see his old friends Greg and Kirstin in Nashville. They are going to the Grand Ole Opry.

Thomas is still in Huntsville seeing old friends. I detect a minute change in his manner of speaking and accent. He easily slides back into the Southern manner. He knows how and when to say y'all. He is comfortable there, in California and Germany. Beth said he is a bit like a chameleon.

Thomas told me many stories of his travels. Last night he and some friends were at a restaurant. They noticed an old man leave the restaurant, get in his car and drive away. He came back five minutes later. Then, he left again with his wife. They speculated that he either forgot his wife or went home to get his wallet.

Sad to end my blog for today on a second hand story. So be it.

Winter Hibernation

I'm really tired. Please wake me in April. Good night. Winter hibernation starts now.
